Baresque Manufacturing was born out of the need to be able solve problems for our clients.
Traditionally the Baresque business had been focussed on import and distribution so in the early days, manufacturing was a bit of a challenge to say the least! But over the last 12 years, it has grown to be a powerhouse of quality local manufacturing, tapping into the exclusive materials that Baresque has to offer along with the quality designs of our sister company botton + gardiner.
The Zund – The Engine Room of Baresque Manufacturing
The Zund is a digital cutting machine which uses an oscillating blade to cut with high accuracy (to the mm) many materials from acrylic, MDF, fabric, zintra etc. Materials are cut from digital files and create very clean cuts making it ideal for screens, fabric patterns (more accurate and efficient than hand cutting) and products with visible edges.
This image shows one of our expert staff adding the job to the Zund electronically, once cut removing the offcuts by hand from the Zintra panel followed by a quality control check for any imperfections. This particular design is one of our most popular from our Zintra patterns range called Fishbone with designs from classic to contemporary to choose from. Baresque manufacturing has systems in place to reuse, recycle where possible and responsibly manage manufacturing waste.
Baresque offer a wide range of upholstery designs suitable for hard wearing commercial and hospitality environments with blench cleanable, indoor/outdoor and high performance fabrics front of mind.
Baresque manufacturing showing after the fabric pattern pieces are sewn together, the carcasses are foamed and the upholstery is pulled over the top and stapled into place. The process is similar to creating garments but bulkier and requires more muscle to physically handle pieces! Our master upholsterers have an eye for detail and precision. Cutting and welding mild steel is at the heart of Baresque Manufacturing from when Baresque bought Jarvis Tubular Products over 10 years ago and now through the work we do for our sister company Botton + Gardiner.
These incredible images shows our MIG (metal inert gas) welding station in action. MIG welding is commonly used for the fabrication of heavy duty mild steel components requiring durable construction. Removing the sharp edges off a cut piece of metal tube (a disc base column) for safety and storing our metal tube on racks for cutting into disc base columns.
