The Wentworth, a beloved landmark in Orange, NSW, has undergone a significant $25 million transformation, solidifying its position as a premier leisure and hospitality destination. This ambitious project was driven by the community's desire to maintain Orange's reputation for exceptional wine, fine dining, and golfing experiences.

Designed by ABEO Architects, the vision for The Wentworth integrates both modern and country elements, moving away from the typical flashy club aesthetic to create a more inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The renovation highlights panoramic views of the golf course and surrounding landscapes, with natural finishes such as face brick, concrete and timber enhancing the overall design.

A critical aspect of the renovation was addressing acoustics across the venue's expansive entertainment areas, including the lobby, dining area, sports bar, and terrace. The design brief for these areas required achieving the upscale look of traditional timber beams while managing the practical constraints of large spaces.

To meet these needs, a customised version of Zintra’s Box Baffles in Spotted Gum was developed. Baresque's design team collaborated closely with the designers to create a bespoke corner piece that allowed the baffles to integrate seamlessly, replicating the aesthetic of traditional timber beams while addressing acoustic challenges effectively. The result is a visually striking and acoustically optimised environment that enhances the overall experience for patrons, combining elegance with practical sound management.
